FFAI Falls 10.5% After Backing AIxC Pivot to Robots
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric (FFAI) fell 10.5% on Aug 18, 2026 after announcing support for AIxC’s strategic pivot away from a digital-asset treasury strategy and toward physical AI and robot-sharing and rental operations.
What Faraday Future announced
Faraday Future said it supports an orderly exit by AIxC Holdings (AIXC)—a company it says it is the majority and controlling shareholder of—from AIxC’s digital asset treasury strategy. In plain terms: AIxC plans to stop running a “crypto-treasury” style play and refocus on building and commercializing physical AI tied to robots.
FFAI said the two companies will establish a closer relationship based on “dual empowerment,” with Faraday Future providing strategic, product, technology, business, and capital-market support. The announcement also highlighted RoboShare, AIxC’s robot-sharing and rental platform, which is pitching an “Uber + Turo” model for robotics.
As a proof point, the release said RoboShare completed its first paid commercial order, with an initial fleet of more than 80 robots in place.
What it means for Faraday Future
The message from FFAI is that it wants its ecosystem and AI platform to be more than branding—it’s aiming to be infrastructure that helps a controlled affiliate execute a new business model. By backing AIxC’s shift to robot sharing and rentals, Faraday Future is aligning itself with a recurring-use concept (robots as productive assets) rather than one-time hardware sales.
The “orderly exit” language also signals a deliberate move away from the digital-asset treasury framing, which can be volatile and distracting for operating businesses. If RoboShare’s early commercial activity scales, it could strengthen the case that the strategy is moving from concept to real-world deployment.
